2007 Accomplishment Report

American Indian / Native Alaska Heritage Program

  • Publicized American Indian / Native Alaska Heritage Month
  • Worked with Brownie Scout/Cub Scout leader on AMNA Heritage Month project
  • Participated in WVU Job Fair
  • Plant Materials Center: traveled to Cherokee NC to collect samples/seeds for scion wood to increase the winterjon apples
  • Gave a presentation at WV diversity day picnic
  • Contact was made with the Native American History Council of WV about gatherings in WV
  • Emailed WV staff to inform about Native American heritage and activities in the state and surrounding areas.
  • Submitted an article to the News and Views.
