West Virginia Chesapeake BayWatershed PlansBay program partners agreed to develop and carry out cooperative and voluntary Tributary Strategies to reduce the flow of nutrients and sediment loads to the Potomac River, and ultimately to the Chesapeake Bay by the year 2010, an approach that allows innovation and flexibility. The West Virginia’s Potomac Tributary Strategy (November 2005) is a product of the West Virginia Tributary Strategy Stakeholders Working Group in cooperation with the WV Department of Environmental Protection, WV Conservation Agency, and WV Department of Agriculture.
