Support the State Soil Monolith Exhibit
The WV Association of Professional Soil Scientists needs our help regarding the support of the state soil monolith exhibit in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. Each state has been requested to raise $10,000 for the Smithsonian display. If you would like to help ensure West Virginia’s place in this exhibit, please contact Steve Carpenter, NRCS State Soil Scientist, at (304) 284-7540, extension 7585, for details.

Check out the  NRCS Soils web site. "Helping People Understand Soils" at http://soils.usda.gov/

Soils is part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey, an effort of Federal and State agencies, universities, and professional societies to deliver scientifically based soil information.
