Meet

I was born in Colombia, South America, where I grew up. When I was 15 years old, my family  moved to the U.S. because of the political situation of the country, and looking for new and better opportunities.

I currently live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I am a senior student at the Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.  I am majoring in Civil Engineering and will graduate this fall 2006. During the summer 2004 I was granted a Public Service Leader’s Scholarship with the USDA in Washington D.C, where I was offered, along with 8 other scholars across the nation including Puerto Rico, the opportunity to earn NRCS experience through a summer internship as a student trainee, and the possibility to follow a career within the NRCS after graduation. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, running, and watching a good movie.
