The 2008 Farm Bill increased the emphasis on providing both technical and financial assistance to forest related issues. Practices that had been completed in the past through the West Virginia Division of Forestry’s (WVDOF) Forest Land Enhancement Program (FLEP) will now be funded through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) which is administered by the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). |
